Dear reader,
Here, you'll find a short sales letter I wrote promoting my client's app. I'm targeting local university students and trying to raise awareness for a peer-to-peer learning application.
Context: My client wanted me to write a letter targeted at university students in the area. The aim of the letter is to raise awareness for the application before its official launch.
Enjoy!
Did you know that studying in groups can boost your GPA?
Listen, we get it. Randomly approaching a classmate to ask for help with that upcoming midterm is scary.
Why? Because IT'S AWKWARD.
What if you're the only one who needs help? What if you come across as desperate? What if you get rejected and embarrass yourself?
Yeah, we know how that feels.. It almost feels like a mental firewall that STOPS you in your tracks.
However,
As students, we can GUARANTEE that you're not alone.
In fact, we discovered that an overwhelming majority of students feel exactly the same way you do.
Like you, many students are anxiously thrilled about meeting their peers. Because in university, people have a strong desire to network, create friendships, and maybe even find a soulmate.
So why should you end up studying all alone while thousands of students want to link up? While thousands of friendships are waiting to be made? Powerful relationships to be built? Potential soulmates to be discovered?
Just ask yourself.
How many of your courses could have been leveraged to discover new study buddies? How many of those study buddies could have made great friends or networks?
And on top of all that.
What would your GPA be today if you'd made a habit of studying in a group?
Probably a higher one. That's right.
Research has shown that studying alone might hold you at a disadvantage. Studying solo can limit information you can absorb.
Even worse, it can hurt your motivation, reduce your focus, and weaken your ability to retain knowledge.
In other words, you may end up achieving less in your courses by studying alone than you would, had you studied in a group...
And it's precisely for those reasons that we created Piriko.
Piriko is a peer-to-peer learning platform specifically designed to enhance the student learning experience by facilitating study groups.
Piriko is the only application of its kind.
It was created BY students FOR students to carefully handle the awkward business of organizing an awesome study group. Its intuitive algorithm matches you up with other students based on courses you share in common.
But perhaps best of all is that unlike Facebook, Piriko focuses EXCLUSIVELY on connecting university students with other university students.
Virtually or in person.
Piriko is your one-stop shop for connecting with classmates through study groups.
And here's why that’s important:
Your time in university comes down to two things–academic success and effective networking.
Studying alongside your classmates can be a powerful icebreaker that unlocks the doors to friendships and meaningful relationships.
There's absolutely no reason for you to feel alone in your course anxiety, when in reality, there are hundreds if not THOUSANDS of students in your exact position.
Students taking the same course as you. Anxious about the same midterm as you. Maybe even struggling with the same professor as you!
Discover how Piriko offers you a unique, peer-to-peer learning experience centered on meaningful interactions.
